Canon LV-S300 3000 Lumen SVGA Portable Multimedia DLP Projector
The Canon LV-S300 Multimedia Projector delivers quality images thanks to its brilliant 3000 Lumens, impressive 2300:1 contrast ratio, and native SVGA resolution (800 x 600).
This projector offers DLP® BrilliantColor™ Technology that helps ensure realistic, rich colors with enhanced brightness thanks to a 6-color wheel, and is also simple and cost-effective to operate thanks to a filter-free design and long lamp life up to 6000 hours in “Eco” (Economy) mode.
The LV-S300 is also flexible to meet your varied presentation needs with multiple image modes that can adjust image quality to best match text, graphs/charts, detailed photos, and video – whatever your source material might be. It doesn’t even matter if your projection surface isn’t white with Screen Color Correction since it can optimize your output for the color of the background. 3D content can also be projected as the LV-WX300 is compatible with the DLP-Link system; seamlessly communicating with a variety of DLP® link enabled active glasses.
The compact dimensions and light weight of the Canon LV-S300 offer convenience and flexibility. Handily sized at 11.1″ x 4.5″ x 9.13″ (282 x 114 x 232mm) and weighing in at a slender 5.5 lbs (2.5kg) it’s easy to carry this projector along with you wherever you need to go. If time is short after your presentation there is no need to be concerned – with Direct Power Off you can pull the plug from the projector the moment you’re done and be on your way. The LV-S300 also offers a built-in 2W speaker, and if there is compatible sound system where you’re presenting this projector can be hooked up to it through its built-in connectors.
Whether you’re delivering a training session, teaching a class, making a business presentation or an on-the-road sales pitch, the LV-S300 brings performance, features and flexibility to the job at an attractive price. To top it all off, there’s the peace of mind delivered by Canon’s 3-year Limited Warranty and Projector Protection Program (“Triple P”).
Features
The native SVGA resolution (800 x 600) of the Canon LV-S300 projector delivers sharp video, diagrams and text. For a presenter showing PowerPoint presentations, documents, charts and graphs, the SVGA resolution meets those demands and delivers impressive quality for a very reasonable price.
The new color processing algorithm and 6-color wheel of the BrilliantColor™ Technology system bring an enhanced level of color realism and richness to your presentations. The reproduction of high-resolution graphics will be natural and lifelike, thanks to the addition of Cyan and Yellow, when compared to a 4-color wheel palette. This has the effect of increasing the saturation of colors, without adding white. The balance of colors displayed will be truer to the original.
Delivering impactful presentations in challenging environments is among the highest of priorities for users. The Canon LV-S300 meets that challenge head-on with the brilliance of 3000 Lumens. This projector will deliver exceptionally bright, clear, rich images in many applications. The projector’s impressive 2300:1 contrast ratio contributes to the projection of images with deep, crisp blacks.
For projecting in multi-purpose rooms such as classrooms or offices, this versatility in performance will be invaluable.
Maintenance of the LV-S300 is simple with the combination of a filter-free design and an extended-life lamp. In Eco (Economy) Mode, the lamp life is up to 6,000 hours. These features, among the many others, make this projector easy to keep running.
Eco Mode also comes with the bonus of reduced power consumption, as much as approximately 20% from standard mode, along with a reduction in fan noise lowered to 29 dB, helping to reduce the total cost of ownership and making it quieter as well.
Multiple Image Modes
To best tailor the LV-S300 to the type of presentation materials you are displaying, a selection of image modes may be chosen to optimize the image quality.
- Presentation Mode is the choice for projecting primarily text
- Standard Mode is best for projecting colorful images, videos or computer screens
- sRGB Mode complies with the sRGB standards and is intended to optimize the projection of photographs from sRGB compatible digital cameras
- Movie Mode is intended for richly colorful videos or images
- User1/User2 Mode (two user defined modes) makes it simple for users to customize and store up to two unique image modes. This allows multiple presenters to share the projector while keeping the image settings optimized for diverse subject matters or sources. In this mode, you may also make advanced color adjustments through the management of the six colors (R/G/B/C/M/Y) on the color wheel.
Screen Color Correction Mode
When projecting to a non‐white, colored surface, colors of the projected image may appear different from the original image. The Screen Color feature helps to correctly match the colors of projected images to the color of many projected surfaces.
To give you flexibility of connectivity, the LV-S300 projector has a variety of inputs. You will find 2 Analog PC inputs, 1 Video input, 2 Mini Jacks (audio input and output), 1 Mini DIN4 (S-Video) and a USB type B service port.
A host of easy to use features are packed into the Canon LV-S300, making it a capable partner in delivering presentations with great impact.
Direct Power Off
The Direct Power Off feature of the LV-S300 allows for quick shut off once a presentation is complete and the projector must be removed right away. Simply unplug the projector and go – there’s no need to hit the power button on the remote or operational panel, or wait for them to cool off.*
* Before actually using this product, be sure to read the precautions in the instruction manual.
Presentation Timer
An elapsed time can be viewed on the projected image to help manage time during a presentation. This is especially useful for programs with multiple presenters where constraints demand close watch of running time.
Closed Caption Mode
When you are presenting in a venue with a high level of ambient noise or to a hearing impaired audience, the LV-S300 can deliver closed captioning to make any difficult to understand dialogue perfectly clear.
Built-in 2W Speaker
Even without an external sound system, your presentation can sound as good as it looks with the 2W high output speaker of the LV-S300. If there is an existing sound system, the LV-S300 gives you the option to connect to that system as well.
If 3D content is on your program plan, the LV-S300 can handle it with ease. Capable of projecting 3D utilizing the DLP-Link System, the LV-S300 only requires a 3D Blu-ray player as a source and DLP Link 3D glasses for your audience.
A key part of the appeal of a portable projector is convenient size and weight. The Canon LV-S300 is small and light, but still packed with features, and it delivers brilliant images. It’s been designed with a small, compact body – 11.1″ x 4.5″ x 9.13″ and lightweight – only 5.5 lbs, light enough and small enough to make it easy to carry with you wherever you need to go.
